Rick Adlam [Mr Mortgage] has been helping people with mortgage finance since 1986 financing house and land packages with the State Bank of South Australia when he was with Iconic Australian Home Builder, AV Jennings.

In 1996 Rick set up Equity Home Loans, with the purpose to refinance homeowners into cheaper home finance and mortgage monitor to get homeowners debt free sooner, where Rick helped everyday people own their homes in half the time, and saves them typically between fifty thousand dollars and $100,000 dollars in interest repayments alone.

In early 1999 he set up one of Australia’s first online home loan services, Mr Mortgage. This was followed in 2000 by Australian Mortgage Exchange, [aumex.com].
